If you have a dedicated JSON editor installed, copy the "profiles" section from launcher_profiles.json to launcher_profiles_microsoft_store.json. I recommend calling the new file launcher_profiles_microsoft_. Start by duplicating launcher_profiles_microsoft_store.json in case you screw anything up. You should find two files called launcher_profiles.json and launcher_profiles_microsoft_store.json. Then for the version you'll have to scroll down until you find your forge version. You can name it "Forge", and the directory will probably automatically be configured, if not it's the full path to your. If you did uninstall the old launcher, just create a new configuration. When you re-installed forge, it just made that config again in the old launcher since it didn't know there was a new one. Then close the old launcher and go back to the new one, and create a new config with the information you extracted earlier. Copy these in notepad since you can't run the new launcher at the same time. There, you'll find the name, version, and directory of your forge config. Boot it up instead of the new one, go to the configurations tab and click "Edit" in the 3-dot menu on the right of your forge config.
